The World's Weather Is Changing, Our Seasons Are In Turmoil, and We Still Don't Get It

One of the principal signs of global warming is the frequency of adverse weather conditions. As global warming continues to gather momentum, average temperatures across the globe will increase and occurrences of extreme weather will become ever more commonplace.
Changes in our normal weather patterns, has far reaching consequences, for our weather governs the seasons, and as our seasons become ever more erratic, the effects will impact upon the habitats and habits of animals, plant and Eco-systems across the globe. Agriculture will face a growing number of challenges as traditional winter, spring and summer crops will provide lower yields which will undoubtedly reflect in the price and availability of fundamental food crops.
With continued increases in global temperatures, we will also bear witness to the consequences of widespread desertification. It is anticipated that some 4 billion hectares of land could be at risk, a phenomena created by long periods of drought. Desertification has wide reaching implications and 110 countries that have, what are termed 'dry lands' face the economic and environmental consequences that come with desertification.
With desertification comes another problem that will, with time become ever more deadly, for as once semi-fertile land becomes ever more arid and desert like, dust clouds will gain prevalence.
FACT: In Asia dust clouds will not only become widespread, they will manifest themselves over industrial cities and combine with other noxious pollutants that will have the ability to block 10 per cent of the sun's heat!
On the other hand, countries like India will suffer as their normal wet season becomes permanent, this permanent flooding has the power to displace some 150 million people living in a space half the size, yet with twice the population of the UK.!
The 1990's saw three times as many natural disasters than in any other period in history.
Weather Facts:
Globally the hottest year ever recorded was 1981
Twenty out of 21 hottest years ever measured have all occurred during the past 25 years.
Australia has experienced widespread drought since 2001 - threatening not only people's lives but the countries crops including wheat, Australia is the world's third largest wheat producer continued drought threatens to destroy over half of the countries output.
2006 marked China's worst drought in over 50 years - an estimated 18 million people were left short of water and over 321 million acres of valuable arable land and some 17 million animals were affected.
The number of category 4 and 5 hurricanes has almost doubled within 25 years!
The horn of Africa experienced two years of NO rain as a consequence over 8 million people are facing starvation.
In 2005 temperatures plummeted shrouding Delhi in thick frost
The longest river in the world the Amazon was reduced to a mere trickle as the country was ravaged by unprecedented drought during 2006
In January 2006 Russia experienced a chilly -40C
Japan suffered under 10 foot of snow during the winter of 2005
Melting of permafrost has caused widespread devastation and millions of dollars worth of damage across Alaska
Louisiana has lost approximately 1 million acres of wetland due to rising sea-levels
Lest anyone can forget the sheer devastation of August 29th 2005, when Hurricane Katrina decimated much of new Orleans.
Nor can we afford to forget the events that took place on boxing day 2004 when Sumatra was hit by a giant Tsunami.
In Romania and Bulgaria thousands of people were forced from their homes when the River Danube broke its banks after hitting a 111 year high.
Flash floods devastated the sleepy Cornish village of Boscastle
Torrential flooding killed more than 800 people and left tens of thousand's homeless in Ethiopia.

Life's Connections With The Four Seasons Of The Year

Life's connections with the four seasons of the year. This article will be done in four parts like the four seasons of the year. Winter Summer spring and fall will all cover different parts of life. This first article will be about life and the summer that comes once a year. I have thought about how much summers days are like life and war in so many countries. I think with all the wars going on around the world life has become like a breeze on a hot summer day life is here one day and gone the next. I actually think about how War and summer have in common with both. Like tornadoes and hurricanes of summer war takes it toll of so many people`s lives.
Like the wind on a hot summer war make so many live be here and gone in the course of a hot windy summer day here one day and gone the next. Like storms and tornadoes on a bad summer day that claims to many human lives wars bombs and bullets take so many more human lives. Lighting will strike without mercy taking a person`s life. Like summers lighting on a stormy summer day mans war machines rain death and devastation on so many people and their countries. A battle is fought in war then summer rains wash away the blood and stench of so much human death cause by war and man.
Like rain on a summer day the shedding of so much human blood runs like rain making a puddle of water. I think about how much man has made life like rain that comes down in drops while mans war machines drop so many people like drops of rain. Rain cleans the air and mans war machines reap the smell on so much human death. I could make a case for the value of summer and a little case for the value of human lives in war that are going on in to many nations.
When summer comes parents are getting ready to have a baby then mans war machines will take that life only to never be born again unlike trees and flowers that are in full bloom again each summer. I think about what it must be like for people to wake up on a clear summer day in these war torn countries to have wars death machines give them there last clear view of a clear sunny summer day? I wonder what a person must think about on their last clear sunny day while that person`s life drains out of the holes made by mans rifles?
Summers will bring another hurricane season that will cause loss of life and leave devastation in the wake of a hurricane mans war machines both on the ground and in the air will take more human life in one day then a hurricane. Summers will bring to many storms that bring death for innocent people this is a natural disaster Mans war machines will move through a war torn nation bombing and killing all life in there path. Unlike like summer that will come and go war takes lives that will never live again.
I can not imagine what life is like on a clear sunny day for people in war torn countries that have the sound of wind shattered by the sound of mans war machines that will bring more daily death? What must victim`s of war must think to see their clear sunny day darken by mans clouds of death? Summers will come again and still war and death will be to real for to any nations. I would like to know what a person tells God about all this war and death that brings that person face to face with our creator?
I often wonder what the lord our god must think on a clear summer day looking down from heaven to see all the death and pain that mans war machine are causing so many of his children in to many nations? Summers will come and go taking and restoring life to all that grows when will mans war machines stop taking lives that can never be brought back again? Like any other new summer leaves will grow back on the trees and flowers will be in full bloom. I wonder when will mans war machines stop taking lives that should live on a warm sunny day?
I have lived almost fifty summers still there is so much death for to many nations caused by mans war. I can not understand the death that summer storms bring these death are caused by natural disasters? I do understand that the summers of death that war brings must stop for all nations. I think about the day when the Lord our God will be able to look down on his children on a clear sunny day to find life going on in every nation? I hope for the time of year when summers will come and go without mans need to make war and death on these bright clear days.
I pray and hope for the year when one summer will come and go without war shattering the clear sunny view with death and smoke that takes to many people's lives. Peace has to become the way for all summers for all people to be able to enjoy a clear sunny summer day. Summer and peace for all will take away the stench and smell of death that ruins to many summer days for to many people in to many nations
As always I write with respect. I hope that people will look for the second article of life`s connections with the four seasons of the year.
My name is Mike Carvell of the voice I hope that these articles will bring fourth change and hope for all people. I write to help people come together for all of God children. Because I believe really do believe that all people are important . I really believe that death and war must stop. I believe that god would want religion to be lived by not used as a weapon to kill. I think that we all can be so much more if we all try .I see a world where no one goes hungry . I see a world where no child cries out in pain from lack of food or proper medical care. I see A world where each of us values every life. I see a world that lives as God and Jesus would want his children to live. I see a world where we all stand together as one people.I see a world where death and war are weapons of the past. I see a world peace and love is part of every one of Gods children. I see a world where all people really live as Gods children. This is my hopes and prayers for all people that read these articles. May God bless all of usand bring a final and lasting peace to all people As always Thank you.

Life Change and the Seasons of the Year

Life Change and the Seasons of the Year
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Susan_Kersley]Susan Kersley

When you make changes in your life you might wonder why you feel some sadness as though you were grieving. Just like mourning, letting go of the old to make room for the new is associated with a feeling of loss. So you might run through a gamut of emotions from sorrow to anger, from guilt to acceptance.

Seasons of the year are an excellent metaphor for what happens to you during change. Giving up the old life is rather like Autumn followed by Winter. Thinking of change in this way gives you the idea that even though during winter everything seems to be dormant and at first it is bleak until you realise that out of sight there are lots of things happening. These changes are ready to burst forth when Spring comes. Suddenly you see the new growing shoots which are the start of the new life or of the changes you may have initiated some time before and almost have given up on. Summer is when your new life is in full bloom. You will have achieved all or nearly all of what you set out to do. You will have got through your times of doubt and worries that it was all going wrong and you should never have started it. You will be happy that you goal has at last been reached.

Of course you may realise, with hindsight that you didn't take the most direct path to your goal. You may have taken a rather round about way to achieve something which perhaps someone could have told you was so much easier to achieve. However you did it the way which was right for you, and you will have had a massive learning experience as you journeyed towards your goal.

Don't wait for someone else to start- be pro-active yourself
Don't make assumptions about the effect you will have on others - talk to them about what you intend to do
Don't believe that nothing can alter unless something is changed by those who control 'the system'.
Big changes happen by something started by someone. It could be you. If one thing alters other things have to adjust too. Life is like a spreadsheet: when you change one thing, everything else changes too.

What could you do? What small step could you take towards living the life you want? What season is beginning for you right now?
